Maud (aka Matilda, Magdalena) Jecles was born about 1573 in England.[1]
On 2 December 1593, Maud married Ralph (Radulphus) Haburne at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Cottingham, Yorkshire, England. The record as it appears on the parish register of Cottingham and transcribed by Tracy Eliot Hazen[1] reads:
Radulphus Haborne & Matilda Jecles secundo die Decebris.
Maud's burial record as it appears on the parish register of Cottingham and transcribed by Tracy Eliot Hazen[1] reads: 1623 Magdalena Haberne mode die (quinto die Mai). The Latin word "eode" indicates that Magdalena died and was buried on the same day -- 5 May 1623. She was buried at St. Mary the Virgin Churchyard in Cottingham.
