Biography

Betty was born on October 4, 1874 at Straight Fork in Scott County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Oliver Bruce Jeffers and Lucinda ( York ) Jeffers. She married Wilson Davis on November 5, 1893 in Scott County, in 1910 she married Sanders Bales Slaven in 1910, they had divorced by 1930. She passed away from coronary occlusion and psychosis with cerebral arteriosclerosis on August 8, 1946 in Eastern State Hospital in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee.
