Polly Jane (Jeffers) Jenks, 66, passed away on 2 February 1897 at Wild Rose, Waushara, Wisconsin. She was born on 8 July 1830 at Rose, Wayne, New York, a daughter of John J. Jeffers. She married John Tower Jenks in 1846.
Mrs. Jenks was survived by: her children, William Henry Jenks, b. 1848; Maria Margaret (Jenks) Stewart, b. 1850; John Almon Jenks, b. 1853; Oren Johnson Jenks, b,. 1856; Tammie E. (Jenks) Woodward, b. 1859; George W. Jenks, b. 1863; siblings, Margaret (Jeffers) Wiley, b. 1827; John J. Jeffers, b. 1851; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, John, 1814-1883; and brother, Benjamin Jeffers, 1840-1864.
