Hattie's niece Verona Espy resided with her in 1910.
Hattie's husband John appears to have abandoned her by 1900, when he resided in Baker City, Oregon listing himself as single. Hattie was listed as a widow in 1910 and as divorced in 1920, when she resided with her sister Susie. [6]
Harriet passed away in 1949 and is buried at City View Cemetery in Salem, Oregon. [7]
