Christening Date 7 Sep 1867, St Michael, Sussex Living with his parents in 1871 and 1881 censuses.

1891 census: boarder at Montague Place, Bloomsbury, St Giles, London & Middlesex with brother Percy (Albert). Both occ licensed victuallers. Parents now living Bloomsbury St, St Giles; father occ unknown.

1891/2 - 1894/5 Old Kings Head, 18 Bear Street, St Martins in the Fields. Paid general & sewer rates, and poor rates. The original Kings Head dates back to at least 1827. https://pubwiki.co.uk/LondonPubs/StMartins/OldKingHead.shtml - residents listed.

A Francis William Jefferson b1868 died in Newmarket in 1900 aged 32 England & Wales Deaths 1837-2007. Likely - Newmarket connection - his sister Sarah Rose (also died 1900), her husband Fred Webb. Several other family members were living in the Webb household in 1901.
