I have matching DNA with both David Smith and Maureen Deegan re: Jefferson-6, Martha Carr (formerly Jefferson). It is possible our matches are from children of Betty Brown, daughter of Elizabeth Hemings. Two of her children -- Edwin and Robert -- may have been fathered by a member of the Carr family. Her other children were Wormley Hughes, Burwell Colbert, Brown Colbert and Mary Colbert.
