Thomas JEFFERSON, s/o Francis, husbandman, of Southburn, was baptized in the Anglican Church in Kirkburn on 31 Jul 1768 [1][2]

Marriage

Thomas JEFFERSON m. Mary CLUBLEY on 12 Nov 1794 in Kirkburn. Witnesses to the marriage were John Clark & Thomas Shipherdson[3][4]

Thomas JEFFERSON, widower, m. Susannah DANBY on 11 Jun 1806 in Bridlington. Witnesses to the marriage were Paul Andrew & R. Kimplay[5] [6]

(8) Robert JEFFERSON, s/o Thomas, farmer, & Susanna, was bp. 25 Jul 1813 in Great Driffield[20][21]

(9) Danby JEFFERSON, s/o Thomas, labourer, & Susanna, was bp. 13 Aug 1815 in Great Driffield[22][23]. Danby, 27, s/o Thomas, was buried in Bridlington in 1817.[24][25]

Census Records

According to the 1841 Census, Thomas is living in West Gate, Driffield with his daughter, Hannah's, household. Also in residence is his son, Robert Jefferson. Henry Lorton, 70; Mary Warnell, 25, charwoman; Sarah Sharp, 25, are also in residence [26]. He is still residing in Hannah's household in West Gate in 1851. His great-granddaughter, Jane Hope, 3, is also in residence. [27]
