Biography
Jeffrey Memoirs by Alexander Jeffrey identified that Jeremiah remained behind in the old country while his four brothers, William, Reuben, David and Oliver went with their father to the Colonies. I found it interesting however when, Thomas (died in NY possibly on this trip) John, William and Jeremiah settled in Western New York near the bottom of Seneca Lake which was across from Trumansburg where there is an elderly Jeremiah Jeffrey holding an estate that is descended from Francis Jeffrey of New Jersey.
Alexander had written letters to his family members asking where the rifle is that Jeremiah sent to Jeremiah his nephew (Alexander's Grandfather) to be used during the Revolutionary War as a runner for his grandfather during the war.
