Biography
Thomas was born in 1776. He was the son of William Jeffrey and Thankful Unknown. He passed away in 1820.[1]
Memoirs from Alexander Jeffrey, "Historical Sketch of the Jeffrey Family, Circa 1870) stated that Elizabeth Gifford went to western, NY with the Jeffrey's because she was a friend of Ruth Allen. (Gifford's traveled to western NY with the Jeffrey brothers, William, Jeremiah and John where they stayed several years near the eastern side of the bottom of Seneca Lake.) (Became Cayuga County) Their brother Thomas had died in NY around age 21. In route to western, NY, Jeremiah married Elizabeth Gifford.
