R. Jerome Jeffrey was born about 1839[1] in Geneva[1] or Seneca County[2], New York[3]. He was the child[3] of Sarah Gerry Beman and Roswell D. Jeffrey, and the husband of American suffragist Hester C. Whitehurst.
He passed away at his home, 13 James Street in Rochester, in February 1908 from heart trouble [5] and is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, New York.[1]
