Robert was born about 1796. Robert Jeffrey ... He passed away about 1853.
Research Notes
Researching this family does prove difficult. The marriage of Robert & Elizabeth took place at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Quebec City. The couple then relocated to Montreal where they had 2 children, and then they were back in Quebec City.
The marriage was volatile as Robert was charged by his wife for domestic abuse. By 1851 Elizabeth is running a rooming house with her daughter, no sign of Robert. Robert's wife Elizabeth died in 1853, her burial is noted in the records for St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Quebec City but her, along with the children that predeceased her have no known grave.
Robert's death record and burial location are not known.
