Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.
I hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well!
Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.
We also have our Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.
Hi Terry, and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your ancestors in the United Kingdom. I wanted to let you know we have a great new project that focuses on the UK here called United Kingdom Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.
You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in the United Kingdom Project will be happy to help you in any way they can.
Thank you so much for joining WikiTree.
Good luck with your research.
Hi again Terry. Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree.
You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.
Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so dont forget to read and sign our Honor Code. This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community. We have many friendly members, feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Terry. Here's a little nudge in the right direction
.See How to use WikiTree for how it all works. Check the top right corner under Help and select Help Category
Please drop in to our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself to other WikiTreers - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.
WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.
Good luck with connecting your leaves and branches to our big tree,
Hiya, I'm interested in the Jeffreys family tree. My ancestors were present in London, England in the 1770s. Some moved to Bristol and Liverpool in the 1810s. I have quite a bit of paper based information but nothing on a PC. I am starting again after a long layoff. regards, Terry
