Rebecca was born in 1829. She was the daughter of William Jeffries and Susan Bailey. she married Thomas Lacey in 1871 ^[1] (Her daughter, born in England, later married Thomas's brother) She passed away in 1883.^[2]

Rebecca Lacey died in 1883 aged 54 and is buried at New Mount Wesley Cemetery, Dargaville, Kaipara District, Northland.
