Biography

Joseph Jeffries/Jeffreys was born about 1733.

On 24 Oct 1754 in Stafford County, Virginia,[1] Joseph Jeffries married Margaret Smith.

On 22 Aug 1755 in Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia, British Colonial America,[2] Margaret Jeffries, wife of Joseph Jeffries, gave birth to a daughter, Sarah Jeffries.

In 1782,[3] Joseph Jeffries was living in Northumberland County, Virginia.

On 7 Sep 1795 in Fauquier County, Virginia,[4] Peggy Jeffries, daughter of Joseph Jeffries, married John Maddux. The significance of this event is that it is consistent with the listing in Joseph Jeffreys' will[5] of Peggy Maddux as Joseph's daughter.

On 24 Sep 1807 in Fauquier County, Virginia,[5] Joseph Jeffreys signed his Last Will and Testament. The will was proved in Fauquier County Court on 28 Dec 1807; and hence, Joseph died between 24 Sep - 28 Dec 1807.
