Ann Jeffs (abt. 1762)

Biography

Ann was born about 1762. She is the daughter of Edward Jeffs and Ann. This date of birth is an estimate based on the age of her older siblings. Her father lived in Bread Street Hill, London, so this is probably her place of birth.

Her father joined the Sandemanian Church in 1762 so she would have probably attended herself as a child.

Ann was named in her fathers will in 1786 as Ann, the daughter of Ann, his second wife. The will stated I do give devise and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereforeof unto my dear wife Ann Jeffs and to my four children Elizabeth Ann Sarah and Charles Seamark Jeffs equally to be divided between them as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and to their respective heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever ^[1].
