Family of origin, from the Genealogy of the Jenks Family of America

Father: Capt NATHANIEL4 JENKS (descended from Joseph* Joseph2 Joseph1) born about 1687/88 and died June 8, 1753. He married CATHERINE SCOTT, daughter of Sylvanus and Joanna (Jenks) Scott (11) at Providence, R. I., Nov. 1, 1718.

From the plain words of narrative it appears David married two separate Jencks women, perhaps sisters, Mary and Martha. Somehow they have been combined into one person. The dates appear to be those of Martha. I am taking the middle name Mary out. Research of the real Mary would be welcome.
