Biography

Elizabeth Jenkins was born about 1845 in Kentucky. In 1850^[1] and 1860, she lived in Harlan County with her parents Abner Jenkins and Jane Blair^[2]. In 1870^[3] and 1880^[4], she lived in Gladeville, Wise County, Virginia, with her husband Ira Roberts and children. Sometime before 1900, she moved with her family to the Beaver Creek area of Taney County, Missouri^[5]. She passed away in 1902 and is buried in the Caney Cemetery in Taney County^[6].

Research Notes

• Her maiden name is listed on the death certificate of her son, General Sheridan Roberts^[7].
• Her grave at Caney Cemetery is "either unmarked or has a plain rock, or illegible marker"^[6] .
