All of the other children were born in England before the family. moved to their new home. Arthur was quite a distinguished conetist in. his day and in 1894 he was the Corps Bugler at Texas A. & M. College. In. that same year he and Joe Holick, a boot and shoe merchant for the. cadets, organized not only the first A. & M. orchestra, but also the. first A. & M. band which was composed of 13 members originally and is now. world renowned."
