Hi Kath

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Karen ~ Volunteer Coordinator

Hi Kath,

I noticed you copied information from Wikipedia about Gruffydd ap Gwenwynwyn and pasted it into his WikiTree profile Gruffydd ap Gwenwynwyn.

Are you aware that WikiTree has a policy which says not to copy from Wikipedia? You can read it here: Copying from Wikipedia?

Wikipedia does not regard the information on its own pages as reliable, you might like to read these Wikipedia articles about that: Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Wikipedia_is_not_a_reliable_source and Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Verifiability#Wikipedia_and_sources_that_mirror_or_use_it.

Thanks,

Maryann

Hi Kathy, Please refrain from changing the accents of our Quebecois Ancestors last names in the 1600's and 1700's. Accents marks were used very infrequently in that time frame, and Wikitree policy is to use the last name spelling from the period, not our modern spellings. The name Hébert did not arrive in documents until at late 1700's. If you review the church records and publications of the time, you will see the name spelled as Hebert. Even Tanguay used modern naming practices in his 1870 genealogical reference. If you had read the biography and looked at the images for hebert-194, you would have seen an explanation. Thanks

Kath,

It seems that the "Provost" spelling started with Anne-Claude, the daughter of François Prévost.

Regards.

Kath, some of your ancestors such as the Saucier family would be classified as Quebecois rather than Acadian. See difference here: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/61428/whats-difference-between-quebecois-project-acadian-project

Check out the Quebecois project here. Best wishes Annette from the Acadians project.

Hey Kath, I have been out of town (off the grid), but I do see Chris has taken care of getting you on. If there is anything else you need, please let me know. In the meantime I will scan through your information to see if we intersect...it is very possible. Mags
