Isaac Carl Jenks was born in 1834 in New York.
In 1860 (age 26), Isaac was a Daguerreian artist.[1] He was later a photographer, [2] and finally a picture framer, with his own shop. [3]
Isaac was enlisted into the Civil War on October 5, 1863. He was ranked as a wagoner. His record is as follows: Enlisted in Company B, Michigan 11th Cavalry Regiment on 07 Oct 1863. Mustered out on 16 Jun 1865 at Knoxville, TN. Record of Service of Michigan Volunteers 1861-65
In 1880 (age 46), Isaac was living in Fenton, Genesee Michigan, with his wife Mary and four children: Oscar, Frank, Ida Belle, and John.
In 1920 (age 86), Isaac was living in on High Street, Lexington Ward 5, Fayette, Kentucky with his daughter Ida and her family.
