Francis was born before 17th March 1772, when he was baptised at Grendon Bishop. Francis was a tanner living in Bromyard. He was declared bankrupt around 1821. He may have lived in Pump Street. There is an auction notice in the Worcester Journal of 16th May 1822 for effects of Mr Francis Jenks, a Tanner, bankrupt premises in Pump Street, including oak four poster beds with suitable hangings, goosedown quilts etc. Also in earlier Worcester Journal of Jan 1822 there is announcement of auction of premises at the Bay Horse Inn in Bromyard.
Searched Pump Street Bromyard and found on Rightmove Nunwell Priory, 7 Pump Street for sale at £299,000 a 5 bed period property with attached vehicular access to the Tanyard!
Christened Oct 26th 1776.[1]
