David was born in Burstow Surrey before 2 November 1817 which is the date of his christening. He is the son of James Jenner and Martha Mills.
David worked as a shoemaker.
On 2 January 1858, in Burstow, David, at age 40, married Elizabeth Langridge (nee Tasker), a widow with at least 1 daughter and a son. The couple would have 4 children together.
David passed away in East Grinstead Sussex in December 1893 and he was interred at All Saints cemetery in Crawley Down, Sussex on 22 Dec 1893.
