Biography
William Jenner was born about 1802 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
He married Jane Brooker in Lewes, St John sub Castro, on 2 February 1828. [1]
In 1841, William was living with his wife Jane and five children in Westgate Lane, Saint Michael, Sussex. [2]
Children in the household in 1841 were:
Edward, age 12
William, age 10
Anne, age 6
Eliza, age 4
Henry, age 1
A decade later and the family was still in Westgate Lane. William's occupation was as a merchant's carman. There were six children now in the household.
William passed away in 1861. He was buried on 24th March that year at St Michaels, Lewes, Sussex. William was 59. [4]
Research Note
Removed: Jane Crundwell as wife. She does not appear as spouse, nor as mother of children. William did not married Jane Crundwell. She married an Edward Jenner in Withyham, Sussex in 1829 and she is not on the birth registrations for the younger children. No reference found to William Jenner as spouse and no reference for younger children with mother's maiden name as Crundwell.
