Frances Jennings, mother of the English Romantic poet John Keats, was born 1 January 1775 in London, England, the daughter of John Jennings and Alice Whalley.[1] She was christened in London 29 January 1775.[2] She married Thomas Keats, presumably in London, about 1794. They had five sons and one daughter, all born in London.[3] After Thomas's death in 1804, she married William(?) Rawlings. She died 10 March 1810 and was buried in St. Stephen's Churchyard, London. The church was destroyed in World War II and the remains of those buried there, including Frances, were moved to Brookwood Cemetery in Wicking, Surrey.[1]
