Soldier Jabez Jennings served with Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Baptized 31 Jul 1748 @ Fairfield, CT [citation needed]

Note: Entry not found as at January 2024 - Find a Grave listing states "Who was taken at Fort Washington and died at New York, Age 29" [citation needed]

According to Wikipedia The battle of Fort Washington (on Manhattan Island) took place on November 16, 1776. 2,837 Americans were taken prisoner. "Most of the prisoners were interred in British ships in New York harbor, where they were deliberately starved, or died of disease and cold in the bitter winter. At the exchange a year later, only 800 had survived."
