Lily was born on the 7th July 1903 the daughter of Joseph Jennings and his wife Rose, and her birth was registered in the 3rd quarter of that year in West Ham, Essex. She was christened on the 25th September 1904 at St Barnabas' Church, Woodford Green, Essex.[1][2][3][4]

Lily's husband George died on the 13th February 1967 in Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone, Essex, and had been living at 376 Billet Road, Walthamstow, Essex. Probate in London of his estate, £1390, passed to his wife Lily Rose Jennings.[6]
