He died at the Basford Workhouse at Bulwell, Notts on 1st January 1909, Nottingham, 3/1909, aged 81 years therefore born about 1828 (SH 7b 266). He (sometime Jepson) was born at Arnold, Notts, son of Robert Jephson (sometime Jepson) and Ann née Marriott. He was a retired agricultural labourer of Woodborough.
