Biography
He died in his 61st year. He lived the last 10 years at Shirland, Derby. He was brought up as a frame-work knitter, left his master and served nearly 25 years in the Army.

Clicking on the baptism link takes one to the handwritten registration page and it is pretty clear, so I would suggest the record is correct. His fathers name is shown as Thomas Jepson and his mothers name as Elizabeth. Will you update the profiles? Or shall I? best, Chris

It seems to have been my error. I have just checked the original baptism book and it is clearly South Normanton not Alfreton. My apolgies. Chris
