John was born about 1746. He was the son of George Jepson and Mary Sprawlton.
John Jepson yeoman of Heage made a will on 13 July 1829 naming his son John Jepson and his daughters Mary Jepson, Lydia Jepson and Elizabeth Jepson. The will was proved on 14 April 1830 by his daughters Mary Jepson and Elizabeth Jepson, spinsters of Heage.[1]
He died on 13 October 1829 and was buried at Duffield, Derbyshire, on 18 October 1829, aged 83.[2]
