Jerome, James A., private. Born in Union Co. where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Union Co. at age 24, May 3, 1861. Present or accounted for until wounded at Malvern Hill VA July 1, 1862. Returned to duty prior to Jan. 1, 1863, but was discharged on Feb. 1, 1863, by reason of "frequent and aggravated attacks of epilepsy."
