Catherine "Kate" Jervis was born in 1840 in Aston, Stone parish, Staffordshire, England to James Jervis and Elizabeth (James) Jervis. Her birth was registered in Stone in the second quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name James.[1]
Catherine Jervis, daughter of James & Elizabeth, was christened on 15 Mar 1840 at St Michael's in Stone.[2][3]
In 1841 Catherine Jervis (age 1) lived at Little Aston in Stone with her father James (40-44), mother Elizabeth (40-44), brother Richard (4), grandfather Richard James (80-84), and John Goodwin (8).[4]
In 1851 Catherine Jervis (age 11) lived in Stone with her father James (53, Farm Labourer), mother Elizabeth (50), and two sisters: Eliza (6), and Anne Hart (23).[5]
In 1861 Catharine Jervis (age 23 [21], Cook Servant) lived at Church Road in Cheam, Surrey with her employer Thomas Mande (43, Rector of Chelsea Surrey) - also in the household were Thomas' wife and two sons, as well as two other servants.[6]
Catherine Jarvis married William Taylor in 1862. The marriage was registered in Wandsworth, London in the first quarter of the year.[7]
In 1871 Catharine Taylor (age 30) lived in Cheam with her husband William (29) and three daughters: Annie E (8), Clara (4), and Kate (0).[8]
In 1881 Catherine Taylor (age 40) lived at Carshalton Rd in Sutton, Surrey with her husband William (39, Carpenter) and four children: Kate (10, Scholar), Edward (7, Scholar), Eliza (5, Scholar), and James (2), as well as lodger James Knight (57, Carpenter).[9]
In 1891 Catherine Taylor (age 50) lived at 3 Belmont Road in Cheam with her husband William G (49, Carpenter) and three children: Kate (21), James (12), and Mary [Margaret] (9), as well as lodger Joseph Batson (61, Carpenter).[10]
In 1901 Catherine Taylor (age 60) lived at Shorts Road in Carshalton, Surrey with her husband William G (59, Carpenter), daughter Margaret (19, Housemaid Domestic), son James (22, Labourer General), and grandson Percy Taylor (2).[11]
In 1911 Kate Taylor (age 70) lived in Carshalton with her husband William (69, Carpenter) and granddaughter Kate Margaret Taylor (11, School).[12]
Catherine Taylor passed away in 1914, aged 71 [~74] years. Her death was registered in Epsom, Surrey in the second quarter of the year.[13]
