Biography
Caleb Jessup was the son of Thomas Jessup and Sarah Small. He was born 24 Nov 1750[1] in North Carolina. He married Agnes Stanley on 4 Mar 1772.[2] Their children were:
- Barshaba, b 2/16/1773[3]
- Rachel, b 9/1/1774[4]
- Catharine, b 1/15/1778[5]
- Caleb, b 12/8/1779[6]
- Martha, b 10/14/1783[7]
- Ann, b 6/22/1785[8]
The New Garden Minutes have a record of Caleb Jessup, Sr. of Guilford County, marrying a "Susann Beales" on 14 Feb 1821.[9] She was the widow of John Beals, who died 24 Apr 1809. Her maiden name was Johnson.[10]
