Daniel Jett would marry his first wife, cousin Susan Jett, the daughter of John William & Elizabeth (Hittle) Jett on April 19, 1840. Daniel and Susan would have the following children:
Ambrose C. Jett (1842-1911)
Sarah Ann (Jett) Tabor (1843-1913)
Susan would pass away at 30 years of age in 1849.
