Mrs. Jett was born in Knoxville, Tennessee March 28, 1917. She traveled and supported her surviving ministerial husband, Rev. Clarence Jett from Tennessee to Texas for over sixty years, 35 of them in Georgia. On June 3, of this year they would have been married 70 years. Over her whole life, she was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent teacher and loved and served her Lord, Jesus Christ. She will be sadly but gratefully missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Rebecca and Leeman Barge, and son, Rev. Steven and Patsy Jett; and five beautiful and handsome grandchildren who gave her eleven greater-than-great grandchildren. She was a member of the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church where Memorial service was held January 12 with Rev. Darwin Caldwell and Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Union City. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, GA in charge of arrangements.
