Identity of his second wife as Mary (Richards) Tracy, baptized Beverly, Massachusetts Bay, 12 October 1679, daughter John Richards and his wife, Elizabeth Woodbury. At the time of her marriage to Eleazer, she was the widow of Jonathan Tracy, published in Mayflower Descendant, 2020. See Susan Kilbride, "The Identity of Elizabeth (Richards) Standish and the Richards Family of Beverly, Massachusetts, and Preston, Connecticut," Mayflower Descendant 68 (2020):187–191, at 190; digital images by subscription, AmericanAncestors.

Susan Kilbride (2020) includes footnote (p. 190n), reporting that Frederic Clare Jewett (1908, ... the Jewetts of America) "incorrectly states that Mary Richards was the daughter of Francis Griswold of Norwich." Kilbride further writes, "Mary Griswold was the name of Jonathan Tracy's first wife."

This identity, citing the above article, Mayflower Descendant, 2020, followed in David Curtis Dearborn and John Bradley Arthaud, "William^1 Woodbury of Salem and Beverly, Massachusetts," New England Historical and Genealogical Register, 175 (2021):207-222, in particular, 215-216 (Elizabeth Woodbury Richards). The Summer 2021 issue is available for download by subscription at AmericanAncestors.

So, Kilbride, followed by Dearborn and Arthaud, reports Jonathan Tracy married twice--first to Mary Griswold, and second to Mary Richards. Mary (Richards) Tracy married (2) Eleazer Jewett.

Marriage to Sarah Lamb has been disproved. Eleazar married widow Mary Armstrong Lamb as first wife rather than widow Sarah Unk. Lamb. This error apparently stems from a Boston Transcript article that had Sarah Lamb as our Eleazar's first wife. Note that a Sarah Lamb married another Eleazar Jewett in 1753, some fifty+ years after the our Eleasar took his first wife. The marriage to Mary Armstrong Lamb is amply sourced, using Norwich Vital Statistics and New England Marriages Prior to 1700.
