Mrs. Myra Jane Barker of Burlington died at the home of her son, Percy Barker, in Winn, Friday morning, in her 96th year. She was the widow of Charles Barker of Burlington. Surviving are a son and daughter, Percy Barker and Mrs. Flavilla Uebel of Medford, Mass. She also leaves two grandsons, Perry T. Barker of Brewer and Leroy Barker of Mechanic Falls, sons of Clifton Barker, late of Burlington. Practically all her married life was passed in Burlington where she was greatly loved and respected for her many years of service to her family, the church and community. Notwithstanding her great age she retained possession of all her faculties and was very active both physically and mentally until a few months ago. She was for many years a devout member of the Burlington Congregational church where the services will be held at one o'clock, Sunday.[1]
