Roughly estimating, John Jewsbury was born ~1727, married Mary ~1750 and they had five children before his death ~1764. His younger brother, Thomas (b ~1734), was appointed executor of the will. This closeness perhaps led to John’s eldest son marrying one of Thomas' daughters in 1791. The surname's spelling is highly variable.
BVRI Lists John & Mary Jusbery christening Anne (24 Nov 1751) & John (11 Jun 1754) and then John & Mary Jewsbury christening Thomas (24 Oct 1756), Richard (29 Apr 1759) & Sarah (18 May 1761).
1727: John Deusbury, son of John & Ann Deusbury, was baptized 05 Nov 1727 at Measham, Derbyshire, England[1]
1764: John Jewsbury was buried 22 Apr 1764 at Measham, Derbyshire, England[2].
1764: Deceased John Jewsbury. Will dated: 19 Apr 1764. Probate: 19 Oct 1770. Executor: Thomas (brother). Family mentioned: wife: Mary; eldest son John; brother Thomas[3].
Another report proposes that John Jewsbury was born in 1724 at Measham to parents John Jewsbury & Ann Smith; he died in 1764 at Measham[4]. However, this birth date of 1724 looks unlikely as the proposed parents, John Juesbury & Ann Smith of Measham, were married after banns on 02 Oct 1727 at Packington, Leicestershire, England[5].
