Biography

From descendant/researcher Alan Sparks in March 2000:

  • "there is still a building attributed to Abraham's son Abraham standing on this very land. The land Abraham owned contains 2 Jobe family cemeteries within a mile of each other. They both contain several Jobe burials and one is the cemetery noted in Ann's original notes suggesting Abraham is buried in the Jobe Family cemetery in Moniteau Co.,. Add to these facts the Old Salem cemetery, where the younger Abraham Jobe and his wife are buried with large, beautiful stones, is within a couple miles of the other cemeteries.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Abraham by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Abraham:

Jobe-304 and Jobe-113 appear to represent the same person because: Both have the same vitae, linked to the same child
