Biography

Dorcas was born about 1801. She was the daughter of Isaac Job and Unknown Unknown. She passed away after 1860.

Though I believe that she was the daughter of Isaac Job, Sr.; there is a possibility that she may be the daughter of Isaac's brother, Jacob Job who was married to Martha 'Patty' Corder. We know very little of this Jacob's children -even after many years of research. We do know for sure that Martha 'Patty' (Corder) Jobe did have a sister, Ann Corder who married David FINE. Note the enumeration order on 1850 census. The John Fine in household #461 was the son of this Ann Corder and David Fine. Smith H. Fine was his son. The others are sons of this Ann (Corder) Fine.

Don't forget that BOTH Isaac Job and Jacob Job were sons of Dorcas (Mackay) and Samuel Jobe.
