Research Notes

Family tradition from many letters written to me between 1967 and 2000 do say that they descend from a William Jobe who died and left at least 5 young boys in Jefferson County, Kentucky.

William's wife's name at this time is unknown. The 1820 census of Daniel Jobe in Jefferson County, Kentucky does show a woman born before 1775. She would have died after the 1820 census

Daniel Job, is apprenticed at age 13 in 1805 and is listed as an orphan. Theefore his father was deceased at this time. The William Jobe who married Mary cunningham was still ALIVE and living in Missouri..
