Biography

Birth and Christening

Anders was born February 12, 1758, at Väberga as the son of the farmer Johannes Abrahamsson and [Svensdotter-690|Anna Catharina Svensdotter]]. He was christened February 13 and his godparents were Nils Mauritsson, the farm hand Anders Mauritsson, Pehr Andersson, the wife Catarina Abrahamsdotter, and the farm maiden Rangela Abrahamsdotter.[1]

Marriage

February 22, 1791, Anders married Maja Andersdotter. She had been working there as a farm maiden. Her morning gift was 30 loth of silver.[2]

The couple stayed on Anders' family farm and that is where their children were born.

Death and Burial

Anders died of old age December 12, 1831, at Väberga Tovagården. He was buried January 1, 1832.[3]

Estate Inventory

"In 1832, January 2, a legal estate inventory was written down after Anders Johansson in Väberga Tofvagård, who died last December 20, and left behind the widow Maria Andersdotter, who was present, she wanted a legal reprasentative and Bengt Persson at Storegård Öjelunda was suggested. Also present were the of age sons Anders, Johannes and Abraham, plus the son-in-law Johannes Jönsson at Kullbrandstorp."[4]
