Lena was born at the maternity hospital in the town of Halmstad, Halland as the daughter of Lars Svensson and Barbro Johansson. She grew up in Hylte municipality in the county of Halland and the province of Småland, Sweden. From 1976 - 1983 the family lived at Segelsbo, then they moved to Villa Ekebo in the town of Hyltebruk. In 1990 they took over the home of Lars's parents; Bexet Södergård where Lena lived until she left home in 1995.
She became interested in history and genealogy early but it was not until 1998 that her research really took off.
Today she lives on the west coast in the province of Halland with her partner and their daughter. She is an English and history teacher grades 7-9. Apart from genealogy her hobbies are reading, scrapbooking and photography.
Lena has roots in the following provinces(counties) and parishes in Sweden
Lena is a descendant of Erik Vasa (Erik XIV Vasa, king of Sweden), he is her 13th great grandfather.
I am, since April 2015, a proud WikiTree leader.
Lena is member of the followin Projects:

När man lägger till nya kategorier bör de innehålla en beskrivning på minst 50 tecken som beskriver syftet med kategorin annars kommer det att generera ett fel i databasen, se https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:DBE_8062
Skulle du vilja vara snäll att lägga till text när du skapar nya kategorier? Tack på förhand.
Maggie
I noticed that you were currently following the CEMETERIES tag, but were not yet a member of the Cemeteries Global Cemeteries Project. If you are interested in more details about the project, or are just ready to sign up, please head on over to our G2G Welcome Post for more information.
I look forward to seeing you around the tree!
Steve ~Global Cemeteries Project Leader

As one of the co-leaders of the European Aristocrats project, I'm messaging to inform you that we are removing the "House Assignments" from our project structure. You are absolutely still welcome to work on the profiles from the families that you chose, we are simply removing the official House Assignments as, for the most part, people choose to work on whichever profiles interest them. We're glad to have you in the project and we hope that you continue to work with us!
Regards, Amy Utting
Would you be willing to translate the birth entry for Lena in its entirety and see that the info gets into whichever profiles - I will be working on the family in the US but really don't feel comfortable doing the processing of this record. https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0011628_00069#?c=&m=&s=&cv=68&xywh=2575%2C1847%2C4317%2C23
I'm Amy, and I've recently become a co-Leader of the European Aristocrats project. I am currently re-organising the House Assignments (including assigning a Free-Space Page rather than a category page), and I wanted to know whether you wish to continue as a house manager for the Vasa and Yngling houses. I've previously sent a PM, however it must have gotten lost en route to you :) Happy WikiTreeing!

Weve made some exciting changes to the Global Cemeteries Project. The sub-projects have been merged into the Global Project to help with Leadership and to facilitate collaboration.
Some roles within the project have changed. From now on, there are Project Coordinators for each continent, and one for Welcome and Integration, plus Team Leaders for each individual Country etc.
Please let me know if youd like to stay on in the new project, if youd like to continue in an existing role, and which team(s) youd like to be on. Please also give me your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the projects Google Group.
Many thanks,
Susie

Source-a-Thon is a joint effort to reduce the amount of unsourced profiles on WikiTree.
The event will be held 8 AM (ET) September 28 - 8 AM (ET) October 1. (That would be 15.00 in Finland and 14.00 in the other Scandinavian countries.)
If you would like to help us, please answer this G2G thread Have you registered for the source-a-thon yet? indicating you would like to join Spic-n-Span Scandinavians. More information on Spic-n-Span Scandinavians - Source-a-Thon

Im Steven, coordinator of the Categorization Project. Please have a look at the revamped Categorization Project page, specifically about the new team approach. Members will be now be part of the Maintenance Team. Project Liaisons and leaders will be involved in the Vision and Collaboration team.
Please contact me within the next week to let me know if you would like to remain an active member of the project. If I dont hear back from you I will assume you no longer want to be a part of the Categorization Project.
Thanks, Steven
