Lena was born at the maternity hospital in the town of Halmstad,
Halland as the daughter of Lars Svensson and Barbro Johansson. She grew up in Hylte municipality in the county of Halland and the province of Småland, Sweden. From 1976 - 1983 the family lived at Segelsbo, then they moved to Villa Ekebo in the town of Hyltebruk. In 1990 they took over the home of Lars's parents; Bexet Södergård where Lena lived until she left home in 1995.
She became interested in history and genealogy early but it was not until 1998 that her research really took off.
Today she lives on the west coast in the province of Halland with her partner and their daughter. She is an English and history teacher grades 7-9. Apart from genealogy her hobbies are reading, scrapbooking and photography.
