Dear Lena,

The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing a check-in with project members. Please review the following and respond to let us know that you are content with your current team or if you would like to be more involved.

The Project operates in a team structure. There are currently three participant PIP Teams -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.

There are currently three different Biography Teams - The Biography Team, the Abandoned Team, and the Popular Team.

You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team. The Biography Team works on profiles from their watchlist and other profiles that interest them. Are you happy with the Team you are on? If you are interested in working with a different Team, please let us know.

If you have not already done so, we invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. (You will need your Wiki ID for both). Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.

We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project meet its goals. We would like to hear about the successes you’ve had and would also appreciate any feedback you have to help improve the Project. Please share your thoughts in a reply to this comment or via private message to one of us.

Sincerely,

Debi Hoag and Kay Knight, Co-Leaders, Profile Improvement Project

Hello Lena,

I think we are related. I attempted to compare my GEDmatch Kit Number T663704 with yours (T688783) and it was unsuccessful. It simply stated that your GEDmatch Kit Number was not in database.

I then compared my Kit Number with Lara Svensson’s and we matched on several chromosome sections but we are distantly related. I think you and I are closer.

In short, I would like to merge my recently added 4th great grandfather Olof Svensson with yours but first, I would like to confirm our unsuccessful GEDmatch comparison when you resolve your GEDmatch Kit Number, and also get your approval.

Hello Lena,

We wrote to you about the check-in for Profile Improvement Project (PIP) a couple of weeks ago. Would you like to continue in Biography Team Level 1 where we have placed you? That's the Team that works on improving profiles from both your own watchlist and projects you are involved with to Level 1 of the PIP Profile Standards.

If you do not wish to participate in the Project, please let us know. If we don’t hear from you within 7 days we will remove you from the Project, but we will welcome you back at any time. We would like to hear from you with any ideas or suggestions.

Sincerely,

Dear Lena,

The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing its first annual check-in with our project members. Please review the following and let us know if you are content where we have placed you or would like to be more involved.

We are in the process of transitioning to a team structure. There will be three participant PIP Teams to start -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.

You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team Level 1, working on profiles from your own watchlist, from projects in which you are involved, and whatever else you find. Biography Teams Levels 2 and 3 will work on designated profiles for notables (Level 3) and everyday people (Level 2). Please let us know if you would like to help with a higher-level Bio Team or one of the other Teams.

You joined the Project before the Voyage started in late 2018. We would like to invite you to consider a "fast track" Voyage, especially if you would like to work at a higher level on the Biography Team. If you’re interested, choose a profile from your own watchlist from the 19th or 20th century, that you have completed to the best of your ability and compare it to the Voyage Biography Standards. If your profile is at Level 2 or better, include a link to the profile in your response to this check-in for a “fast track” review.

We would also like to invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. If you request to join our GoogleGroup, please be sure to include your Wiki ID. Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.

We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project and WikiTree. The Project’s mission is to:

Make profiles beautiful! We clean up messy biography sections and sources, and try to set standards for attractive, useful, and well-written biographies, starting with those we manage.

We know you’re working on profiles *smile* We would like to hear about successes you’ve had toward the Project’s goals. We would also appreciate any feedback you might have to help us improve the Project. Please share your thoughts in a reply to this comment or privately via private message to either of us.

Sincerely,

Debi Hoag and Robin Shaules Co-Leaders, Profile Improvement Project

Please check out the updated Ambassadors Project page and see what we’re doing to get more visibility for Bloggers.

If you would like to join in, please send me a private message with what teams you would like to be on, as well as the email you want to use for the google group. If you use a different email address for trusted list access on WikiTree, please note that as well.

I look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi Lena,

I noticed that you were currently following the CEMETERIES tag, but were not yet a member of the Cemeteries Global Cemeteries Project. If you are interested in more details about the project, or are just ready to sign up, please head on over to our G2G Welcome Post for more information.

I look forward to seeing you around the tree!

Hej Lena!

Hello,

As one of the co-leaders of the European Aristocrats project, I'm messaging to inform you that we are removing the "House Assignments" from our project structure. You are absolutely still welcome to work on the profiles from the families that you chose, we are simply removing the official House Assignments as, for the most part, people choose to work on whichever profiles interest them. We're glad to have you in the project and we hope that you continue to work with us!

RE: Bengtsdotter-371. I saw your note (from 2015) about not giving a married name to a Swedish woman before 1900 but since I had her patronymic maiden name as primary - I left it since I know she was referenced as Anderson (no SS) - I've finally made contact with descendants and will learn more from them soon. One sent me this as the birth record for her.I cannot find anything on her parents etc. and this might be a goldmine of info. I can't read it.

Would you be willing to translate the birth entry for Lena in its entirety and see that the info gets into whichever profiles - I will be working on the family in the US but really don't feel comfortable doing the processing of this record. https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0011628_00069#?c=&m=&s=&cv=68&xywh=2575%2C1847%2C4317%2C23

Hi Lena,

I'm Amy, and I've recently become a co-Leader of the European Aristocrats project. I am currently re-organising the House Assignments (including assigning a Free-Space Page rather than a category page), and I wanted to know whether you wish to continue as a house manager for the Vasa and Yngling houses. I've previously sent a PM, however it must have gotten lost en route to you :) Happy WikiTreeing!

Hi Lena,

We’ve made some exciting changes to the Global Cemeteries Project. The sub-projects have been merged into the Global Project to help with Leadership and to facilitate collaboration.

Some roles within the project have changed. From now on, there are Project Coordinators for each continent, and one for Welcome and Integration, plus Team Leaders for each individual Country etc.

Please let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project, if you’d like to continue in an existing role, and which team(s) you’d like to be on. Please also give me your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi Lena,

I’m Steven, coordinator of the Categorization Project. Please have a look at the revamped Categorization Project page, specifically about the new team approach. Members will be now be part of the Maintenance Team. Project Liaisons and leaders will be involved in the Vision and Collaboration team.

Please contact me within the next week to let me know if you would like to remain an active member of the project. If I don’t hear back from you I will assume you no longer want to be a part of the Categorization Project.

Thanks, Steven
