Soldier Johan Johansson Forsgren was born in Romfartuna in 1750. He was the son of soldier Johan Andersson Gjers and his wife Anna Olsdotter.
Johan married Margareta (Marta) Matsdotter in Haraker parish, Västmanland on Nov 6, 1777. Together they had four children, Anna b. 1777, Johan b. 1779, Brita and Greta b. 1785.
Johan was soldier no 142 at Brunnsbo rote, Väsby kompani in Västmanlands regemente in Tärna parish 1778-1785.
He died in Finland in 1789[1] during the Russo-Swedish war 1788-1790 (sv. Gustav III:s ryska krig).
Later household books have birth year 1750. Marriage record and earlier household records have 1756. Found him in Romfartuna in 1757 thanks to brother Anders' birth record in Romfartuna, found Johan's family parents and siblings in Östermunga in Romfartuna.
