The family moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1935 where her dad was a reporter/editor for the Amarillo newspaper.

Her dad got a job as a Washington Correspondent and they moved to Northern Virginia in 1942 and then spent 1943 - 46 in Daytona Beach Florida while her dad was in the US Marine Corps during World War II.

After the war they moved back to the Washington, D.C. area where she graduated from high school.

Marriage
She met Fred Wentworth Noble Jr while they were both attending the University of Texas. They were married on 26 December 1952 in Washington, DC.

Death
She died on 27 January 2022 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
