Jeremiah Johnson was son of Thomas Johnson, who drowned in New Haven in 1640. His brother, Thomas, was ae 64 at his death in 1695, so born about 1631. Jeremiah was probably born between 1631 and 1640. New Haven was not settled until 1638. So his birthplace is unknown.

Jeremiah Johnson left New Haven and took up residence in Paugassett, later Derby, Connecticut. He had a grant of land on Sentinel Hill 2 Mar 1672.[1]

A list of selectmen in the town of Derby, [1] supports a 1704 death.
1701 Jeremiah Johnson, Sr. (also 1681 and 1685)
1703 Jeremiah Johnson, Jr.
1704 Jeremiah Johnson. The non designation of Sr or Jr is a good indication that there was only one Jeremiah left

3 Nov 1639 was the birth of John Johnson in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The date was hijacked. It is probably incorrect for Jeremiah,
