Biography

Philip Johnson, the youngest son of Samuel Johnson and Mary Parks, was born in 1891 at Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales. ^[1]
BIRTHS.
JOHNSON—February 19th, at Lion House, Wrexham, the wife of Mr S. R. Johnson, of a son.^[2] He was baptised on 2 August 1891at St Giles, Wrexham.^{[3] [4]} There is also another baptism record for 2 March 1891 at Wrexham.^{[5] [6]}

He married Elizabeth Kelsall in 1914 at Wrexham.^[7]

He served in WWI in the British Army Service Corps.^[8] Rank,Name & Service Number: Private Philip Johnson DM2/165182; Service: Army Service Corps(728th M.T. Coy.); Died: 7 Nov 1918; Age: Details: Born in Wrexham. Son on Samuel Richard Johnson, of the Royal Hotel, Llangollen & the late Mary Priscilla Johnson. Died of pneumonia.
