Note: Dora was married at some point, presumably to a Johnson. This guy either died or abandoned her and her many children. She lived her whole life in Galivants Ferry. She was finally enumerated on the 1930 census as a widow instead of "single". Her death certificate indicates widowhood as well. Her first child (as far as I know) was born about 1885 (Effie), who married a Tyler, Her last child, Oscar, was born about 1901 and died at 13. There is no husband on the 1900 census.
