DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jesse by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jesse:

Do any primary source ("official source") paper documentation list his middle name as "Elmer", or any middle name at all? I could not find any (Find a Grave is not a primary source).

If not, his middle name should be removed.

Also, his first name is almost always spelled "Jesse" in his records not "Jessie".

I have committed these changes unless there is evidence otherwise (meaning, there is an official source record that shows a middle name).

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

There is a FamilyTreeDNA YDNA project specifically for this paternal line called the FamilyTreeDNA YDNA E-FT141964 project, located here:

https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/e-m35-johnsonand-waddell/

We have already YDNA tested multiple men in this YDNA paternal line and we are making progress with our genetic documentation and applying it genealogically.

If any men from this direct paternal line is interested in YDNA testing (which is completely different than autosomal DNA testing like AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, and 23andMe) and would like to know how, please contact me at my email below.

Best regards,

Arthur Waddell.....
