Birth

William Varnum Johnson was born c. 1811 in Mansfield, Windham (later Tolland), Connecticut, United States to Kinyon Johnson (1769-1843) and Elizabeth Peckham (1767-1843). ^[1]

Marriage and Family

He married Anna Baldwin (1810-1868) c. 1830.

6. Richard M. Johnson was born on 3 September 1843. He died on 25 May 1932.
7. James J. Johnson was born c. 1844.
8. Emily O. Johnson was born c. 1846.
9. Martha E. Johnson was born c. 1848.
10. Almira Johnson was born on 26 December 1852. She died on 12 March 1926 in Connecticut, United States.

Occupation

According to census data, he was a farmer.

Death and Burial

William died in 1878 at the age of 67 according to his headstone. He was buried in the Bedlam Road Cemetery, Chaplin, Windham, Connecticut. There is a joint headstone with his wife at Find A Grave: Memorial #79384796 .
