Biography

Virgil was born in 1893. He was the son of James Johnson and Mary Daniel. He passed away in 1962. [1]

At the time of the 1900 US Census, head of household Jim Pat Johnson (age 41, born in Georgia) was living in Millitia Districts 845, 1319, Roswell, Post Oak Roswell town, Cobb, Georgia, United States with his wife, Mary J. Johnson (age 41, born in Georgia) with their children: Joseph M. Johnson (age 18, born in Georgia), John C. Johnson (age 16, born in Georgia), James P. Johnson Jr. (age 14, born in Georgia), Corrie M. Johnson (age 12, born in Georgia), William G. Johnson (age 9, born in Georgia), Vergil L. Johnson (age 4, born in Georgia), Clemun Johnson (age 4, born in Georgia), and Noah Johnson (age 2, born in Georgia). [2]

At the time of the 1930 US Census, head of household Virgil L. Johnson (age 36, born in Georgia) was living at the home (a farm) that he owned at 197 Marietta Road in Coxes, Cobb, Georgia, United States with his wife, Myrtice B. Johnson (age 33, born in Georgia), and their three daughters: Gladys Johnson (age 12, born in Georgia), Mary S. Johnson (age 8, born in Georgia), and Virginia M. Johnson (age 3, born in Georgia). Virgil's occupation was given as "Farmer" in the general farming industry. Virgil indicated he was 18 years old at the time of his first marriage, and Myrtice said she was 15 years old at the time of her first marriage. [3]
